2026 REEPS Workshop Series – How to Protect Trees After a Wildfire

Marnie Duthie-Holt, Kootenay Boundary Regional Entomologist with the Ministry of Forests, will present a workshop on protecting trees in the aftermath of a wildfire. The session will cover how to identify trees at risk, explain the threats posed by insects and other post-fire stressors, and discuss practical strategies for protecting your trees.

Workshop participants will visit a local fire-affected site at Enterprise Creek to put their new knowledge into practice in the field.

No cost; snacks provided.
